This 10-hour General Industry: Warehouse Safety program is intended to provide workers with a variety of safety training topics associated with workplace hazards in the warehouse industry. This program helps employers meet OSHA training requirements for their warehouse staff. In addition to OSHA's required topics for general industry (6 hours), this program also provides 4 hours of warehouse-specific training, covering topics such as personal protective equipment, materials handling safety, and controlling hazardous energy (lockout/tagout) training.
OSHAcademy training is free to access and complete. Students are able to sign up on our website and access the training material, including module quizzes and course final exams for free. Students must only make a payment if they would like to receive certificates to document their training. After studying the course matieral and taking the module quizzes, students can take the course exam. The course exam is designed to test the students understanding of the course material. Course exams are composed of multiple choice questions selected from our extensive question bank.
No, they are voluntary. OSHA recommends outreach courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers. However, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island have enacted laws mandating the training. Also, some employers, unions, organizations or other jurisdictions may also require this training.
